Application requirements of titanium plate and titanium alloy plate in chemical industryTitanium is an inert metal, its chemical symbol is Ti, atomic number is 22, is a silver metal. It has a specific gravity of 4.51 and a melting point of 1668 ℃. Its reserves in the earth's crust are very rich, ranking fourth only to iron, aluminum and magnesium, and more than ten times more than the sum of commonly used metals such as copper, nickel, lead and zinc. In industry, rutile, ilmenite and titanomagnetite are used to produce titanium. Due to the difficulty in separation and extraction, titanium with industrial significance was not produced until the 1940s. Therefore, titanium is generally called a rare light metal. Because different products in different fields need different titanium and titanium alloy products, they are processed into plates, bars, tubes, belts, wires and so on, which can be further processed to meet the needs of different fields. Among them, titanium plate, titanium ring and titanium forgings are most widely used. The specifications and properties of titanium plates commonly used in chemical industry are shared below. 1、 Standard Executive standard: GB / t3621-2007 2、 Product brand, status and specification 3、 Mechanical properties (1) Mechanical properties of titanium plate at room temperature (2) High temperature mechanical properties of titanium plate 4、 Surface quality The surface of titanium plate should be bright and clean, showing the natural color of metal. Plates are allowed to be delivered on sandblasted surfaces. Slight darkening and local water marks are allowed on the surface of titanium plate; local defects, such as scratches, indentation, pits and other defects not exceeding half of the thickness tolerance are allowed, but the minimum thickness shall be ensured. The surface is not allowed to have cracks, peeling, oxide scale, folding, metal and non-metallic inclusions and other macro defects and traces of alkaline washing. Titanium plate is allowed to clear local defects along the rolling direction, but the thickness of the plate after removal is not less than the minimum allowable thickness. In addition, there should be no delamination. 5、 Application of titanium plate Titanium and titanium alloys have low density and high tensile strength. In the range of - 253-600 ℃, its specific strength is almost the highest in metal materials. It can form a thin and hard oxide film in the appropriate oxidizing environment, and has excellent corrosion resistance. In addition, it has the characteristics of non-magnetic and small coefficient of linear expansion. As a result, titanium and its alloys were first called important aerospace structural materials, and then extended to ship manufacturing, chemical industry and other fields, and got rapid development. Especially in the chemical industry, titanium and titanium alloy products are used in more and more products, such as petrochemical industry, fiber, pulp, chemical fertilizer, electrochemistry and seawater desalination industry, as exchanger, reactor, synthesizer, autoclave and so on. Among them, titanium plate is used as electrolytic plate and electrolytic cell in electrolysis and wastewater desalination, and is used as tower body and kettle body in reaction tower and reactor. With the development of science and technology, the application fields of titanium materials are more and more extensive, such as medical treatment, automobile, sports and so on. Through these, we can see that titanium, as a light metal, has more and more excellent characteristics which are recognized and determined by people. Moreover, it replaces other metals with the fastest speed and integrates into our production and application fields, even our body 。 |
